Most of the sketch/drawing examples here are freehand, with
occasional use of perspective layout techniques to establish roughly an horizon line and vanishing points.
Drawing skills are critical in the design process; it is too easy to forget in these days of computerized
drawing how important it is to put a pencil to paper.
Also documented are several of the contract drawings that were filed in the
building of the projects presented in the "built" section.
I
obsess on how things are to be assembled. Composite details
contribute to the overall spirit of a project; I'm especially excited about how details
at a small scale can reveal themselves in the larger gestalt.
The most interesting architecture is that wherein any part of it is a hologram of the project whole.
