Designing a business card is a delicate matter. Preserving the integrity of the company's logo, and balancing that design with the requirements of printing technology can be a challenge We like to present the client a spectra of possiblities; the ultimate is a four-color, unlimited quantity design, and on the other end of the scale, a simple, two-color alternative. In practicality, however, we often adjust our graphic expectations to the client's budget, and try to preserve the elements of the original graphics in the more economical design.... Here is a classic case of before and after. The first design has all of the graphic and color subtleties of the web page, the second, and printed version, tried to preserve the salient qualities of the original, yet allowed for a thrifty production. |
